    Dr. Vegunta, a former resident and neuro-ophthalmology fellow at the John A. Moran Eye Center, practices at Moran's main University of Utah and Midvalley clinics, as well as Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City and Lehi.

    Following her residency and neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2021, Dr. Vegunta completed a pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine, Riley Hospital for Children.

    In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Vegunta is the Associate Residency Program Director of Moran's Education Program. She has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and participated in various community and professional activities.

    She is also active with Moran's Global Outreach Division, including participation as a medical volunteer and teacher at the Aravind Eye Hospital's pediatric and neuro-ophthalmology divisions in Madurai, India, and as a physician examiner at Moran's first outreach pediatric ophthalmology screening in Chuuk, Micronesia.

    While in medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, she volunteered with the Foundation for Blind Children, mentoring visually impaired children and providing medical care at Wesley Community & Health Center's night clinic.

    What a wonderful, caring doctor! My daughter-in-law who accompanied me for the procedure was so impressed, she has changed her doctor (for her daughter/my granddaughter) from her current one to Dr. Vegunta. She set the bar high! This has been a very good experience & I'm so glad Dr. V. was the one I selected from the other doctors at Moran Eye Center!

    Dr. Vegunta listened carefully to my recapping the history of my vision issue. She provided a detailed examination of my vision impairment and placed me at reasonable ease concerning the possible outcome of any corrective surgeries. I left the session with greater hope for a better quality of life.
